On the morning of July 24, the donation ceremony of Sunrise Group to Zhejiang University Education Foundation was held at Zijingang Campus of Zhejiang University. Attendees included Mr. Sun Yang, Chairman of Sunrise Group; Mr. Jin Lianqiang, CEO of Sunrise Group and a 2002 alumnus of Zhejiang University’s Chemical Engineering and Technology program; Mr. Shen Wenhua, Party Secretary and Vice Dean of the College of Chemical and Biological Engineering; Professor Liu Ying, Dean and Deputy Party Secretary of the College of Biosystems Engineering and Food Science; Ms. Liu Zhengrong, Director of Development and Liaison Office, Secretary-General of the Education Foundation, and Secretary-General of the Alumni Association; Professor Zhang Xinghong, Deputy Director of the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering; as well as several Zhejiang University alumni currently working at Sunrise Group. The ceremony was hosted by Ms. Xu Ruijun, Deputy Secretary-General of the Zhejiang University Education Foundation.

In her speech, Liu Zhengrong expressed gratitude to Sunrise Group for its strong support. She noted that Sunrise Group, as a comprehensive chemical enterprise integrating manufacture, R&D, and international trade, has actively fulfilled its social responsibilities while achieving business success. The generous establishment of the "ZJU-Sunrise Group Xiangyang Scholarship" reflects the company’s recognition of the university’s talent cultivation and its commitment to education. She briefly introduced the recent achievements of Zhejiang University and its Education Foundation, emphasizing that the foundation, as a vital platform connecting social resources and supporting university development, remains dedicated to excellence in project management. She also highlighted the role of the foundation in inspiring students to learn from donors’ strategic vision, moral integrity, and outstanding capabilities, living up to society’s high expectations.

Sun Yang stated that Zhejiang University, as a top-tier institution in China, has cultivated numerous outstanding talents for society. As a parent of a Zhejiang University student, he takes great pride in the university’s educational environment. He emphasized that Sunrise Group adheres to its mission of "connecting resources with needs, linking the world," actively exploring advancements in pharmaceuticals, animal health, and plant protection while striving for meaningful life experiences. The group provides a broad platform for young talents, with many Zhejiang University alumni holding key positions. He warmly welcomed more students to join the company and contribute to technological and social progress.

Jin Lianqiang introduced Sunrise Group’s development, noting that many outstanding Zhejiang University alumni work within the company, strengthening the bond between the two parties. The establishment of the "ZJU-Sunrise Group Xiangyang Scholarship" aims to support the university’s talent cultivation strategy while contributing high-quality professionals to related industries. Moving forward, Sunrise Group will continue driving innovation, enhancing core competitiveness, and upholding the spirit of "diligence and hard work" to contribute to societal progress and national rejuvenation.

Shen Wenhua acknowledged Sunrise Group’s social responsibility, including its sponsorship of the 2024 "Sunrise·Sailing" graduation concert at the College of Chemical and Biological Engineering, which was well-received by students. The scholarship represents both recognition and encouragement for the colleges’ educational efforts, and they will leverage this support to further enhance teaching quality. Future initiatives will also include diverse activities to raise the group’s visibility among students.

Liu Ying praised Sunrise Group’s corporate culture, which emphasizes "responsibility, innovation, health, science, and development." Alumni are the university’s most valuable assets, and it is heartening to see successful graduates giving back. The scholarship serves not only as an incentive but also as a bridge aligning corporate values with educational goals, fostering knowledgeable and socially responsible talents.

During the ceremony, both sides engaged in discussions on personal growth, innovative talent cultivation strategies, and industry trends, pledging joint efforts to advance education and professional development.

Also present were Ms. Sun Yuan, a 2022 alumna of Zhejiang University’s Agricultural Engineering program and a member of Sunrise Group’s Project Development Department, along with other alumni and faculty representatives from the School of Materials Science and Engineering and the School of Economics.

Starting in 2024, Sunrise Industrial Group Co., Ltd. will donate annually for ten consecutive years to establish the "ZJU-Sunrise Group Xiangyang Scholarship," supporting full-time undergraduates and postgraduates from the College of Chemical and Biological Engineering, School of Materials Science and Engineering, Department of Polymer Science and Engineering, Department of Biosystems Engineering (College of Biosystems Engineering and Food Science), and International Economics and Trade program (School of Economics).
